Guide for Organisational deployment

Aiming to use Salt at work? - you may find that your organisational IT policies are preventing Salt from working correctly on company devices and/or networks.

Share the following information with your IT admin to determine how you can get Salt working.

Firewall and Network Security

The following information includes all the network access requirements which must be allowed through your firewall for Salt to operate.

It is critical to allow TCP port 443 (classic HTTPS and WSS) if your firewall rules do not allow them by default:

*.addsalt.io

*.sfu.whereby.com

*.sfu.svc.whereby.com

*.srv.whereby.com

*.svc.whereby.com

*.appearin.net

*.turn.whereby.com

*.turn.svc.whereby.com

We recommend that you also allow UDP port 443 to enable QUIC and TURN to function properly when required.

Some non-essential features may also require access to the following:

*.posthog.com

*.sentry.io

*.helpscout.net

*.cloudfront.net

We are unable to provide a fixed list of IP addresses for allowlisting.
